Grand Copthorne Waterfront reopens after $30 mil revamp

Resident’s of Orchard Boulevard MRT Condo will be able to enjoy the convenience of the MRT system right at their doorstep.

Millennium Hotels and Resorts has opened the newly-renovated Grand Copthorne Waterfront Hotel, located at 392 Havelock Road along the Singapore River. The five-star hotel underwent a $30 million nine-month-long renovation. The guests can now enjoy luxuries of 574 refined guestrooms and suites, and newly-expanded conference facilities.

Kwek Eik Sheng, executive director of Millennium Hotels and Resorts, expressed the timeliness of the hotel’s fresh look, especially as Meeting, Incentives, Conferences and Exhibitions travel (MICE) resumes its normalcy and in-person events become a priority again. Furthermore, corporate planners are increasingly demanding locations with strong sustainability features and eco-friendly initiatives.

The renovated hotel certainly has much to offer. For starters, it has 33 versatile function rooms across three floors, with eco-friendly stationery and a linen-less table set-up. Additionally, it is also aiming to reduce single-use plastic waste from bottled water consumption by 20%, thanks to the introduction of in-room water filters.

Another exciting feature of the hotel is its green technology. Andy Tan, senior vice president of global operations and partnership at Millennium Hotels and Resorts, says that they have included high-efficiency technology that reduces electricity and water consumption.

The Grand Copthorne Waterfront Hotel is the perfect place to enjoy modern luxury while traveling for leisure or business. Not only is there plenty to explore in Singapore, but you can also enjoy the hotel’s refined comfort and sustainability features.
